DECLARATION ON DATA PROTECTION
Macrogate Robotics AG and your personal data
As an international provider of robotics technology and related services and products, Macrogate Robotics AG is committed to using state-of-the-art technologies to protect the personal data of our customers and visitors to our websites as effectively as possible.
What is personal data?
Personal data is data that can be used to identify you personally, such as your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, etc.
When you visit the website, further data is added for technical reasons, such as your IP address, Internet access provider, etc.
Data is not personal if it does not relate to a specific person.
Statistical data that is collected, for example, when you visit the web shop and that cannot be directly linked to your person is therefore not personal data. (e.g. statistics on which pages on the Macrogate Robotics AG website are particularly popular or how many users visit certain pages).
What data does Macrogate Robotics AG process?
Macrogate Robotics AG collects and processes master data and metadata as well as other personal data provided by you in the context of the contractual relationship and by third parties in the context of verifying the identity, business capacity and creditworthiness of the customer.
Master data:
Master data refers to your personal data that you provide to Macrogate Robotics AG, especially when concluding a contract. In the case of companies, master data also includes the company name, address and company register number.
Macrogate Robotics AG shall delete the master data relating to the customer no later than seven years after all claims arising from the contractual relationship have been settled.
Metadata (formerly traffic data)
Metadata, formerly known as traffic data, refers to all data that is processed to forward a message to a communications network or to bill for this process. This includes, for example, active and passive subscriber numbers, device, charge code, total number of minutes to be charged for the billing period; type, date, time and duration of a connection or other use; amount of data transmitted; routing paths; the protocol used; the network from which the message originates or to which it is sent; format of the message.
Telephony and data service
Master data and traffic data are processed to fulfil the contractual obligation of data services in order to establish, control and bill telecommunications connections.
Operational purposes
Macrogate Robotics AG processes metadata only to the extent that personal data is absolutely necessary for operational purposes (in particular troubleshooting in the event of problems establishing a connection, network requirements analyses, performance analyses, further development and planning of network expansion, optimisation of offers and analysis and prevention of fraudulent activities to the detriment of Macrogate Robotics AG). Metadata stored for these purposes will be deleted or anonymised after 6 months at the latest.
In order to ensure communication, Macrogate Robotics AG works with various service providers and partners (e.g. termination partners) who also have access to the technical systems and data for troubleshooting purposes.
Transfer of personal data to third parties
Your data will be used exclusively for the provision of our service and will of course not be passed on to third parties without your explicit consent. Under no circumstances will your data be sold or commercialised. An exception to this is the forwarding of data to authorities if there is a legal obligation to do so. Our employees and partners who could gain knowledge of your personal data through maintenance and services are contractually obliged to maintain confidentiality.
You have these rights
- If the stored data is incorrect, you can contact us at any time by telephone or e-mail for correction.
- You have the right to receive information free of charge at any time about the personal data stored about you, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing.

Macrogate Robotics AG can check your creditworthiness in order to protect itself against misuse. For this purpose, your master data will be forwarded to officially authorised credit protection associations, credit institutions and traders who are authorised to do so in accordance with § 152 GewO (e.g. KSV) and compared. The recommendation regarding solvency and willingness to pay is calculated on the basis of the statistical probability of the following parameters: qualified payment defaults (debt collection entries, insolvency, etc.), age and place of residence.
Offsetting
Corporate and legal obligations
For accounting, business and legal reasons, master data and metadata of customers and suppliers of Macrogate Robotics AG are processed, analysed and stored. All tax-relevant records are stored accordingly for seven years.
Accounting
You can decide whether you would like to receive invoices by e-mail or by post. When you activate e-billing, an e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address you have specified for this purpose, which you verify by clicking on the confirmation link.
Master data and metadata are used for invoicing. You will find the master data and product data directly on the invoice. The metadata is required to calculate your invoice.
Payment of the invoice
To settle the invoice, the payment method you have specified (SEPA direct debit) will be used for automatic payment collection.
Macrogate Robotics AG works together with banks to collect payments. Data is transmitted in encrypted form.
You can revoke your consent to the collection at any time, without giving reasons, with effect for the future by telephone or by e-mail to "Macrogate Robotics AG - Data Protection".
If you transfer the outstanding invoice amount to Macrogate Robotics AG yourself (whether by telebanking or payment slip at the bank), the payment is automatically allocated to your customer account at Macrogate Robotics AG using your master data, which Macrogate Robotics AG receives from the banks.
Reminders
Your master data and details of the invoices due will be used by Macrogate Robotics AG for the initiation of appropriate reminder steps in the event of late payment or non-payment of the outstanding balance on your part - in order to fulfil your contractual obligations.

In the event of late payment or non-payment of the outstanding balance, your customer data (name, address, e-mail address provided and confirmed, date of birth, gender, occupation, telephone number, contract copy and, if required, a copy of your ID) and details of the arrears in question (invoices, account statement) will be sent to a debt collection agency or to lawyers to collect the debt. This data will be deleted by the debt collection agencies seven years after the debt collection process has been completed.
Your customer data (name, address, etc.) as well as creditworthiness data will be transmitted to officially authorised credit agencies (e.g. KSV) for the purpose of creditor protection only with your express consent in the event of default of payment. You can revoke the transmission of the data with effect for the future, without giving reasons, at any time by telephone or e-mail to "Macrogate Robotics AG - Data Protection".
Restriction of services
To protect against fraud and to protect you from large financial charges, metadata is processed to determine the current invoice amount. If an unusually high amount is reached, Macrogate Robotics AG may limit the scope of services and ask you to make an advance payment or provide security.
Objection/complaint processing
In cases of complaints and objections, Macrogate Robotics AG accesses the master, meta, payment and profile data and customer interactions stored in databases that are required to verify the complaint. If you dispute services from third-party providers, your call or customer number, the order numbers of the services and the internal processing number of Macrogate Robotics AG will be transmitted to the third-party provider concerned if necessary to clarify the matter, provided that express consent is given in the form provided for this purpose.
If you contact the conciliation body of the Austrian Regulatory Authority for Broadcasting and Telecommunications (RTR), an interest group (e.g. Chamber of Labour or Association for Consumer Information) or a lawyer and an objection is lodged on your behalf, Macrogate Robotics AG will pass on your personal data mentioned above to the conciliation body or interest group or the lawyer required to clarify the objection case.
The personal data described above will not be deleted as long as the process is ongoing. Thereafter, the general retention and deletion periods apply.
Cancellation of the contract
If you terminate your contract, your personal master data and stored customer interactions will be deleted after 3.5 years, as you can assert your civil law claims within a period of three years. However, if the contract is cancelled by Macrogate Robotics AG due to default of payment, the retention period may be extended until all claims have been settled.
